I came home & tossed my laundry bag down & noticed the shrimp was actually cleaning the fish. The fish has recently came over a battle of ich & I'm wondering if the shrimp is picking new or old parasites off him? I'm happy either way. This purple tile fish gets spots ( or mild ich ) really easy. Right now both cleaners are working on him. Something cool to share.[IMG]

That's awesome! It's always fun to see them do their thing, and how the fish just hang and let them wander all over them! Glad to hear that they are doing their job and not being lazy shrimp. My LFS had some that would come up and clean your hand if you stuck it in, it was pretty cool.

My current CS will even clean my hand in the tank.

He also cleans, I've even seen him picking inside the gills of my Coral Beauty Angel

That's cool, in my old tank the shrimp & fish never associated with each other. We had some type of small cleaner fish also that only the bar gobies would let them attach & clean.

I think it is determined more by the fish than the shrimp. It is always the same fish that go in for the cleaning in my tank. My tangs and my flame angel are always stopping by my blood shrimp's lair for a cleaning. However, I have never seen a wrasse or either of my anthias have anything to do with the shrimp.

Whenever my wife goes with me to Premium Aquatics she always goes to the cleaner shrimps and has them clean off her fingers. And they're always excited to climb all over your hands. Pretty funny to watch!

Very strange. I don't think I have ever had a cleaner shrimp that didn't clean!
