I still can't keep xenia in my 90g, everything else does well.

gsp, yellow polyps, toadstool, kenya tree, devils hand, and others are all pretty hardy and thrive in most tanks.

It is my contention that Xenia are in one of those hit and miss coral categories for exactly the reason mentioned over and over that; "They did well for several months and began spreading to other rocks. Then they suddenly crashed." I had the same thing happened so I don't torture myself over it and just never tried them again. I believe there is no "fault" involved. In one tank they grow uncontrollable and in another they "melt away" or "vanish". There are plenty of other choices of coral to be had. If all other coral in your tank are doing well, it isn't your tank. I chalk it up to what I call "aquarium mysteries".

Ya, thats what i meant by 50/50, like hit or miss. Thanks unclejed for making everything clear. And of course others too.

Oh and another question, besides xenia, Is there any other coral that pulses like them?
