A couple of strange one's for ID please

    The first is growing all over the bottom of my LR. It has grown considerably over the last 3 months. Has been there for a lot longer.

    The 2nd looks like some kind of colony. Its about the size of a silver dollar and has also grown a lot in the last couple of months. The white specks are just sand grains.

    If you scrape it with your fingernail, is it a hard substance, does it scratch off, etc.?

    Not a good picture but maybe a species of macroalgae!

    I took the liberty and adjusted your picture a little bit, its easier to see now.

    Looks like a type of bubble red algae to me, I have it in one of my tanks but I am taking that tank down this weekend. I would let others look at this picture and see what they say but if it was me I would remove it.

    It does appear to be Red bubble and if so get it out ASAP! It will over run the tank.
