a couple questions about this mantis shrimp

No chance of upgrading the tank to a custom build one to withstand the pressure of the sand?

If it is possible to have the tank set up so the L. scud can tunnel naturally that would be awesome. It will live fine in a PVC tube, but its going to spend most of its time in it, and will probably only come out to eat. Also they can get lazy being fed on a stick and will wait until the stick is meat is handed to them. One of the most interesting things about these guys is the tunnels they make.

I am not sure how well the clay would stick with the mucus.

 

i cant upgrade unfortunately. and ill see how the clay works, adn if it doesnt work well ill get more sand for him.
