I'd ask for more then that... Gotta pay for flights/travel time, have to teach them how to use everything and be on call 24/7 when they forget everything you taught them.

Most places charge $1 a gallon for standard maint. plus supplies for like 2-4hrs of work, so do the math.

lets hope he has a lot of money because top of the line equipment is $$$
and sometimes "bargain basement junk" is way better then that expensive stuff.

Ive done maint for people before, never do it again. All it takes is some idiotic thing for them to do, and everything go down the crapper. People dont listen, especially people with money. They think they can throw money at a problem and it'll go away.

Buying all sorts of top of the line equipment doesnt mean squat. The basics still have to be done. Every single piece of equipment purchased to automate it, is just another piece of equipment that can and will go wrong at some point.

If I had the money to do something like this, I would have back up systems for everything. Float switches that shut off equipment if the water level gets to high in the sump like how float switches are used for auto top off cause if the sump starts getting to high, that means something somewhere is clogged and theres going to be a flood soon. 2 of everything so if something fails, there is a back up for it already in place. Have 2 controllers controlling each system so you can see when something on one of the systems goes out or something is wrong with it.

All it takes is money and lots of patience...

obviously hes just thinking about having a tank to stare at that looks "nice" and "pretty" and doesnt care about money cause he has it and isnt thinking about the work involved. hence the sentence where he says he wants the most colorful and brightest fish and coarls
