Agree not to tear down for cyano. Cyano is easy to get rid of. Not to sound rude to anyone, but if you can't get rid of cyano it means you're doing something wrong. Tear down as many times as you like, you're going to keep running into the same problem eventually.
Looking at your pics I am not even sure it is dino. Someone like John would have to confirm that. It just doesnt look snotty enough, nor is it reaching upward enough, to look like the dino I have seen. Kinda looks like red/brown cyano, possibly mixed with diatoms. I have no idea on the fuzzy algae.

I also read that i should raise my PH to 8.6. Where should i bring alk to?

Yea...almost as soon as i did that Water change all the algea bloomed. Still not 100% convinced that i dont just have a real bad case of cyano that looks similar to dino... any hints on differentiators?

Bump again. I really need someone to tell me if i have dino. If i do, im probably going to order some new dry base rock and chalk buying "live rock" up as a seminar that i paid for (experience is the best teacher?)

...the suspense is killing me here

Hard to say, but I'm leaning towards dino since it looks like snot with bubbles.

I'd try cutting down the light cycle as you said you would.

I would try raisng the alk to at least 9,0, if it's not already up that high.I raised my alk to around 10.0 dkh, but I needed to dial in my calcium reactor anyway, so messing with alk and ca was a necessary step for me. FWIW, my alk was at 8.0 when i started this tank out. Ca was around 400, but as you know, ca and alk are inter related, so as I raised my alk, my ca dropped to around 380. I have ca up around 400, and alk at 10, but I do want to raise my calcium to around 420. My ph was always 8.2, but I don't think that was ever the issue.

DKH test (aPI) says im at 11-12 right now.

    Ca - 500
    mg 1450
PH over the weekend was 8.2

Do you think its cyano or dino?

If it s dino i read that raising ph (with lime water i believe) to 8.6 can somtime work... I also read that sometimes it come back after you bring it back down though....
