A few Newbie Questions !

Hello again everyone!
A few quick goofy questions...
1- I see little tiny things in my tank - I couldn't possibly get a pic - Nor explain what they look like... WAY to tiny - I can see them moving on glass - What would they be?
2 - I read about killing the Aiptasia - From what I read I should wait till they get a bit bigger to attempt sticking them with Joe juice to get them -Question is how big will they be before they start to reproduce? I see a few in my tank but there again they are so little that they disappear and they Really disappear - Also... Is it possible they can move?

I have seen those little cleaner shrimp that come out at night...
Lol... My husband wonders what I do that keeps killing the flashlight!

those tiny little bugs are copepods if im not mistaken. they will end up as food for your critters. and get the aiptasia as soon as possible. makes it much easier and helps control the reproduction of them. and i dont believe they move. this advice is coming from a relative newbie myself. so a disclaimer, i could be wrong , but im trying to be helpful. lol. one of the more experienced aquarists here hopefully confirm im mostly right. lol

just something that might help is get apstasia x instead
its heavy so it doesnt just float off and you get more for your money
with joes juice i hear that people miss alot and it floats off and kills a coral

oh and by little cleaner shrimp do you mean amphipod?

I was wondering if I had them... I expected them to be bigger and never seen them in the tank...:-[

I assume that is where Kalk past would work better...
I really cant see sticking that little things with a needle and getting it....

 

actually you dont "stick them" you put the needle right up to their mouth and squirt it
they will close up on the needle and you just pull away and the will shrivel up and die

They are extremely little as well...Scurrying on rock...I can make out that they look like at least!

your welcome ladybobo. my daughter enjoys "sticking" the aiptasia. it is a syringe, but just an open end, no needle. and our brand is made by blue vet. called aiptasia control. it works very well. she just recently killed one that was a good 4 inches long in 1 shot. it was growing behind some rock work. and always good to see a fellow canuck here. lol.

It wont harm anything with in its General area ?

it wont kill anything unless you get the stuff on something
so as long as you get it on the apstasia it wont kill anything else
