A Gallon Per Day?

Ha! I lose that in my 30g, so it's nothing on your 150g. I have an open top with a fan so my evap went up. It is summer though, so until the weather is hot, I will have a higher evap.

 

Check your water pressure. You may need a pressure-pump. My 110 only puts out 80ish, but that is plenty for me. I'll bet I'm close to that at the house too since I also have 600ish in system, but really don't know since the RODI does it's auto top off thing.

 

that is light, with my 20 gallon sump and 65 gallon tank i was at 1 gallon a day, since i removed my sump i am at a 1/2 gallon. do you have a glass cover?

 

I made an acryllic top with cut outs for my plumbing for my sump which has cut down on my evaporation.

 

I'm not losing near as much as you guys in my 55 gallon ( 510 watts of lighting) but I've got a fairly tight fiting top- maybe that has something to do with it.

 

My 150 gal with a 30 gal sump evaps about 2 gal a day.

I have a 2gl auto top-off and refill it every 4-5 days for my 20nano.

 

I only lose about a gallon a week from my 45 gallon tank. I have a glass lid and no sump.

 

1/2 gallon a day on my fifteen gallon in the summer time...due to the fan blowing across the top to keep down temps. less during the other seasons...

 

i loose like a gallon to a gallon and a half depending on the weather!
