    Greetings,

I am planning on buying a RO unit and I hear and read a lot of contradictory gossips. Can you guys based on experience and usage recommend a good RO unit ?

    Thank you,
    Marian

I have the 50GPD Typhoon from Air, Water and Ice. It works great, the price was right, and it came with a free TDS meter - which is important to have. Plus they are a 3reef sponsor.

+1 With hydrojeff... Its a great unit, at a great price... The DI is very important and affordable... Id also recommend getting a dual TDS Meter...

I purchase an ro unit. Can you still purchase the di part separately. I was told before that the di part you don't really need unless you know there is a particular substance in your water. (can't remember what the substance was)

Yes you should be able to buy the DI separately... I would test with a TDS meter and see what quality you are currently getting... Its just not recommended that you drink DI water lol... Just in case you do your Ro, which is safe...
