At times in the past game threads have actually degraded 3Reef. If you look at the description of this forum, that's the reason it says

I don't have a problem telling you exactly what happened and why many prior game threads have been closed. 3Reef is known for a LOT of things but a couple of the biggest things are welcoming new members and older members going out of their way (and being VERY patient with newbie questions) to really help. By this I mean, members didn't just give them the answer, they explained the "WHY" so that newer member understood the hobby that much better. A couple of times when game threads were going, the game thread was continually popping up to the top of the home page while members were joining and not being greeted and people (newbie or long-term member) were not getting help.

All of the above is a long way of saying that if this game thread appears to detract from 3Reef, I might close it. It's still early in the morning in California. Maybe when Matt wakes, he might decide to close it. With the above said, if you like this game thread and want it to possibly remain open, it would be well-advised to do all of the things that you normally do (helping people) as well as posting on this thread.
