I know all you reefers out there can help with this. I'm resurrecting my tank after a few setbacks. Of my 1st 2 fish (CB Angel & PB Tang), only the CB survived an ick attack a couple months ago. He seems to be OK, but I'm still gun shy about introducing new fish. I'm gonna do everything I can to reduce stress on new introductions. But any suggestions re: more ick resistant fish? Also, can and how can you put new aragonite on top of old? I want to add more live rock. Is it a problem to re-arrange old live rock? I mean does it disrupt anything when I pull it up out of the aragonite? Thank you everybody for helping bring back my tank!

As long as you take your time lifting the LR there should only be minor disruption to the sand bed. As far as adding more sand just get a 2 ft legth of clear tubing and a funnel. Place the tube in the tank so one end touches the sandbed. Fill the funnel and tube with your new aragonite and lift the tube up off the sb and spread the aragonite around slowly. This will keep the cloudiness down. Do not add more than a 1/2" - 1" layer. You don't want to sufficate your already live sandbed.;)
