Hey, im not sure if this is the right section to post this in but anyway i just remembered today that a buddy of mine gave me some rock a while ago for one of my freshwater tanks. when he gave it to me, he mentioned that it was from the ocean and that a friend of his brought him a bunch the last time he came to visit... basically im wondering if this rock would be ok to add to my tank as base rock? its white, the larger piece has holes in it and looks like any other normal piece of LR and even on the bottom appears to be a faint pink tint on some of it. ive also noticed some sea shell imprints on some pieces.... any thoughts would be greatly appreaciated. Thank you all in advance!

It looks like typical base rock, so just rinse it off well, and it should be fine.
