Wow, Thats an Incredible Job, I am surprised though you didn't tear down a wall to give that monster a few feet more, however something tells me one day you will be planning on tearing down a side of the house

"Just yet" that means there is a little part inside your head ticking away at the posibilities.

Unless I start making 7 figures, I'm gonna stick with this one for quite a while. The running total on this is sickening enough!

Well the board of wire looks nice and not trying to rain on your parade , But to extend the life of the electronic ballast and insure your safety you best get some aluminum roof flashing or similar metal sheeting up under them and between the wood and let it extend about 3 inches over the ballast all the way around too serve as a heat sink. you might want to add it to the power strips also elect and wood do not mix well.. Heat is the killer and wood does not dissipate the heat at all. Insulates it actually. Just free advice take it for what its worth. :) Electricity and wiring is not a hobby. And this would not pass inspection in any state I ever worked in.

Now I offer this in the assumption its the finished product ? If not and you intended to use some metal for a heat-sink and added fire safety then good and I spoke to fast ..Also all those wire-nut connections need and should be terminated inside of a meat work-box with a metal cover .

Thanks for the tips Tangster, I will look into the heat sink. As far as it passing inspection, I really don't ever seeing any electric work around a tank that would pass inspection. As far as safety, if that rack comes down my house will be coming with it so I think that would be a bigger problem :)

    Thanks Urban_s ;D
