    Wow, cool. My Dad used to have a telescope and the sun filter was my favorite.

    I can see why. I would love to have a real good telescope with filter and a camera attached. The shots of the Sun's surface with Venus included would be beyond awesome. I saw one earlier today of the last transit and was mesmerized.

    Thanks Vinny, that would be a very cool project. I hope to catch a couple more if the clouds cooperate out here.

    Cool picture thanks for sharing.
    I heard earlier on the radio today that, I believe it was a Russian astronomer about 300 hundred years ago was looking at Venus transiting the sun, and when it reached the edge of the sun he saw a halo around Venus. He then thought Venus had an atmosphere. Crazy stuff huh.
