Well I'll remember this new year for a while. 60+ degree weather, when not even a week ago I was snowed in under several inches of snow, two tornadoes, one in my town and one 5 miles north. The one in my town destroyed 25 homes and killed one person. This is December/January were talking about here, where the heck are the tornadoes coming from??? Sirens were going off in my town for a full hour today, I thought they were never going to stop.

Ya a tornado ripped Fort Leonardwood. My husband trained there :( We have a friend there too so hopefully he is alright, we haven't heard from him yet. Hope this kaos stops for you. Be safe!

Yeah, I was watching the news the entire time and right about the time they said Ft. Leonardwood was hit, the weather outside just turned awful.

Wow thats crazy. My husband is pretty distraught about it. Its crazy to think a torando killed someone in MO in DECEMBER. I couldn't even think of one hitting here in Montana in December. Its next to impossible to have one even form here during the summer because of the mountains.

I was watching the news yesterday, and they said actually all the really "BAD" tornadoes seem to have hit in the winter months, which is very odd! 14 touched down around St. Louis yesterday, and we were very fortunate, it just rained here where I live, and just looked nasty. Never even had our lights flash. Glad everyone on here is alright....I think we are in for a bad weather year here! Last night we went into a hockey game with temps in the upper 50's and froze coming out with temps falling into the 30's
