Thats the trick i've learned so far and it worked lol. half an hour like this to an hour and they host it no problem

I had to detach it from the bottom of that glass to put it in the tank last night. i did it very carefully like Mr Saltwater said, massaging the foot and using a credit card , and it worked , she settle down on the sand, later last night and anchored on the right corner backwall facing the Tonga sculptures as well she moved a bit but the real test will be when the light come ON. then she'll choose her FINAL DESTINATION, lol. the fish are awake now and left her but slepped with her all night. I just put the pumps back on this morning. And she's completely relaxed showing her mouth. Is that normal for the clown to leave her like this even if they're hosting her?

sooo beautiful Mud! I've never kept a carpet anemone so I'm not much help with specifics. I would think that clowns would come and go with a nem but you know clowns, they usually can't be predicted lol some do this, some do that, some never do this, others sometimes do that, etc....

    Congrats on your gorgeous nem!

Thanks now if i can find the right answers, so many conflicting opinions its madening. I red all evening last night and everybody have different opinion specially about feedind. And their's an album of picture of Nems vomiting what has been fed to them because they're not suppose to be fed certain things and they die from it of course, grossed me out. So i'm going to be very cautious about feeding.

If your nem is hosting your clowns, then your clowns will bring food back to the nem at feeding time as well. It's the price the clowns pay for the nems protection.

FWIW, I've never heard of an anemone dying because it was fed the right amount. There is a reason why there are so many nematocysts on the tentacles of anemones....they like to eat. I'd wait a couple weeks until after the nem finds it's spot, then try feeding 1 small silver side once a week.

Beautiful anemone, and tank! How much was the nem?

    Awesome specimen!
IIRC, they love high lighting, I forget if this species prefers lower or higher flow, regular feedings, and a very stable system.

    Something happened

This morning she was fine and opened up 4 times as big as yesterday but them my Diadema setosum ; Long needle Hatpin Urchin went towards her and i'm not sure if he puncture her. I hope it didn't damaged her, can it kill her? She's now all retracted about the same size as yesterday. I know that the urchin has the equivalent of a bee sting.

She's seem fine now, but do they contract, or retract not sure what term is used here, but do they do that often.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    They do pretty routinely.

If you start to see issues google treatment with Cipro.

Small pieces of raw fish or scallops once or twice a month works just fine. Personally I do not like silver sides as a food for anemones.

    It's beautiful BTW.
