saw a lovely toadstool leather in my lfs yesterday, just wanted to know if my lights would keep them alive and happy, just 2 t5 ho 24w, came with the tank. if not, could you suggest something more sufficient?

    thanks.

footnote: i already have a condy anemone in there, and it is thriving :D

I would say you're fine, toadstools don't require a lot of light. What size tank do you have?

A 2 bulb t5 isn't really enough for a 65. Also you said 24w, so they cant be very long. You'll want a 4 or 6 bulb 54w 48" fixture for that tank.

Yeah, only 2 bulbs is not enough IMO. I run 4 bulbs on my 29 gal tank. I didn't realize your tank was that big, you might be able to keep the toadstool but I would get a few more lights first.

I agree, I don't think it's sufficient. That is FOWLR lighting, not any sort of reef lighting, especially for that sized tank. Depending on what you want I would suggest at least a 4 bulb fixture, that should allow you a nice range or corals. Also, I am not saying your anemone isn't thriving with those lights, but I would be very wary.

its a corner tank, so with 54w, half the light wont even go in the tank :L

I use a 24inch sunpod over my 44corner tank, just added a couple pieces of wood to the legs to modify them, works great.Don't know your tank's dimensions but you might be able to do something similar with a t-5 or halide fixture,or you could hang a pendant.
