My wife purchased these along with the 2 clowns, said she didn't want to break em up. lol. Anyway do any of you know what the exact name of these Anemones are, I believe them to be Green Bubble Tips but I have received conflicting information saying the BT's do not have a purple base. Thanks for the help.

I have them in my tank too!! They are classified as long tenticle anemones. Some people said bubble tip anemones but the general ID I got was the LTA. The ones I have are bright purple and pink on their foot. I have been successful in getting them to split. We have three divided anemones from the original. Some are brownish with pink tips, another is a greenish shade with a purple base and bright pink tips. If you check out my albums you can see them.

I dont know about his anemone, but on ours the tenticles are along the outer edge and it is smooth toward the center an around the mouth. Arent Ritteri Anemones tenticles dense along the entire top? Like this?

I'm honestly not sure. There are more than one anemone called long tentacled. The "real" LTA, Macrodactyla doreensis, is a sand anemone and is not likely to be on a rock like that. It does kind of look like a ritteri, Heteractis magnifica, but I can't see enough of it to tell for sure. I doubt it, because a ritteri would not be near the bottom of the tank. They want to be as close to the light as possible - have seen them place themselves 8" away from a 250 watt MH bulb and be very happy.
