I have a coralife 65 on my 40 gal...I'm not impressed by it. Maybe I have a light bioload (3 seahorses and coral) but I don't get much skimmate out.

The yahoo store...just doesn't impress me either. No company name, misspellings, no real pictures, etc.

I loved my coralife 65 super skimmer, pulled great skimmate out, dark and nasty, but the pump head is huge and the return needs modified to not be huge! easy cheap mods! that being said, you can buy mine, just ugly in the tank, and its gonna be worse in your tank as its smaller and will fill more room! i have a hydor slim skim, which i love more! Its in the tank so takes up tank space but looks great in there! you could go with the nano version, def in your range! never heard 1 thing bad about it!

I'll sell ya my 3 week used super skin for $65 shipped!;) its been moded a bit already to run better and would take about $5 to finish off!

Up to you bro but I would not put that skimmer any place near my tank.
If you go through and look at some of the posts in my review you will see that some run the 65 and are extreamly happy with it and for 70 bucks you can't go wrong.

Wait, which one wouldn't you put near your tank? The amazon one or the 65 gallon one?

Its a 36 gallon tank. Well, i was hoping for an HOB protein skimmer. but, i guess if i would need a sump... Well, actually, i'm kinda confused about that.

Does a protein skimmer have to have a sump?

And cant a reef tank run without a filter also, just a protein skimmer?

This is the same skimmer from your first post but you can offer like 70 or 75 bucks and get free shipping. It's a good skimmer. I've been running it for about 2 weeks and it's working well. If you go into the Protein Skimmer section and search for SC65 you can find a bunch of threads about it. I don't believe anyone has been unhappy with it's performance.

This only works in a sump so if you looking for a HOB skimmer Look else where...LOL
