I have recently aquired a porcupine puffer about 5-6 inches as an addition to my predetor tank. my concern is it's very sloppy eating habits. i feed it goldfish and silversides which it enjoys but when eating it blows scales and small pieces of fish everywhere. the crabs and snails immediatly begin to comb the area but my worry is that this could prove bad for my tank in the long run. any thoughts from those more learned than i would be great.
p.s. there are also several serpent and common stars to help in cleanup.

    Thanks Y'all

From what I have heard about puffers and goldfish is that is not a good idea to feed them goldfish due to the fat content and lack of other essential nutrients. Maybe as a treat once in a great while, but not consistently. Mine have always enjoyed krill, Formula 1, Trigger Formula, and fresh cuts from the fish market. (anything that is large)(they really don't bother with mysis, plankton, etc.) But I am sure you knew that already.
