A question to those with an AGA MegaFlow tank......

Im planning for my next (and hopefully final) upgrade and im looking specifically at a 120 gallon tank, 48 x 24 x 24. The thing that concerns me, is that when I had my 75 AGA, I HATED how the MegaFlow looked...... it was bulky and awkardly set. With the tank only 18" in width, I really think it took up alot of room. Now with the 120 AGA (aqueon now), its 24" deep, but has 2 overflows. What are your guys thoughts? Im considering just getting a standard 120 and using an external overflow from Eshops, but Im looking for your guys input.........what do you think? It just seems to me that 2 bulky MegaFlows would take up alot of room........ Any input would be great!

It's gonna take up room in your tank, or behind your tank. So it's up to you.
In my opinion, I think the internal overflows are a wiser choice.

I have a 120 AGA tht is not drilled and I wish it was I do not like the overflow boxes that I have. They work fine but I would prefer to have internal overflows

Do you think there is enough room inside the 120 that it wouldnt bother you? Also, what do you not like about your overflow boxes?

there's nothing i dislike more about my tank than the external overflow box. what if the siphon malfunctions, etc - DT overflows, sump empties, pump burns out, everyone dies.

go for drilled if you can do it

True to a certain extent, but a properly set up siphon overflow shouldnt have that problem. I know a few people in my area would agree with me, and even one of my favorite LFSs ran a siphon on their 200 Gallon display with no problems. My main concern is pretty much the aesthetic portion of external vs internal overflows, but you have a good point. Anyone else want share there ideas?
