a real life nemo homecoming

my first saltwater tank 7-8 years ago was a joint effort with my sister in out apartment. 20 gallon with a clown, and a yellow tail damsel. she moved out, tank ended up back at my parents house. i would do some maintence on it maybe once a year. some of the time the SPG would be like 1.016 or lower!!!

i got back into the hobby about a year or so ago with a 55 gallon, recently upgraded to a 90 gallon reef.

the yellow tail died yesterday, my mom asked me to take the clown and put it in my tank. picked it up tonight, just got done acclimating. its seems to be doing well so far.

i am kinda worried just cause of the change of enviroment after so many years. at least its from one tank to a another, not from the wild into captivity.


anyone know the lifespan clowns???

That's pretty long IMO. The clown must be pretty old.

 

Someone told me my stupid clown might not die till hes 15-20 years old. As for worrying about his new home, i have no doubt you will provide a better environment then the one he is from by what you told us of your 'yearly' mainainence
