This fish came with my new tank. I can't seem to find him online. Anyone have any idea of what he is and how much he goes for? He's about 6 or 7 inches long. tang-web.jpg

It's a Sailfin Tang, (Zebrasoma desjardini) they cost anywhere from 30 bucks for small ones up to 100 for large ones.6 or 7 inches is a nice sized one,What size tank do you have? 125 is about the smallest imo for a sailfin that size.

I've got a 135 with one blue pacific tang, 2 clarks, a manderin and a goby with a yellow strip on his face .. i forget the name. So this guy is the king of the box. Everone that comes in oowws and aahhs so i figured i should know what kind he is to sound like i atleast half know what i'm doing. Now i just need to figure out if i get a chiller for this big rig will i flip my breaker with 2 MH lights and 4 compact 65w compact florescent. The MH lights don't have a wattage on them and the fixture dosn't have any writing on it so i can't determin a model number or a brand. I'll have to take the bulb in to the store and find a match i guess. Each light runs off it's own ballast and my breakers are 120v. The chiller is a 1/4hp at 112v. I have 3 pumps and 5 powerheads. Anyone have any luck running all this off one breaker?

It all depends on what size breaker (amperage) you may need to add a larger breaker or if possible run some things off of another

I would say for sure run the chiller off of another breaker. They draw a lot also. IMO.
Sounds like a real nice setup you have there! Did you get a good deal? Oh, we also like pics, lots of pics please! ;D;D;D

just calculate what you are using. P = E X I ( power in watts = Volts x current) written another way amps = watts / volts

Convert everything to amps. your average breaker is 15 amps ( stay under 10 or 11amps) so if you have a 120 watt heater, you know the volts (120) you can figure it's 1 amp.

pls dont change the breaker to a larger one! unless you run new wire that is designed for more power, it can casue a fire.
