    That's fairly new (08?). Up until this: http://www.cites.org/common/com/AC/22/E22i-08.pdf all live rock, dry or wet, was considered SCLERACTINIA and indeed a CITES permit was needed.

    poor little blue ocean :( im sorry i have 100lb of your home... I promise to keep it forever and only sell it when it hits the same price as gold an oz. its too bad my hobby i love is also destructive and worse i know it :( I wish i liked a less wasteful hobby... like NASCAR. I just hope our love for the hobby translates to love for the ocean and to help preserve our reefs so that our kids wont think the reef only consists of whats in our living room.

    Yup read that as well. Why are you continuing to post these to me? I read the document and commented on it. See below:

    I said it was a new development (last few years) and up until that point a permit was needed.

    In the US you have to have a permit, even for rubble and sand.
