    Has anyone seen this snail?
Do any of you know if you have these in your tank?
These are very bad to have and usually come attached to your live rock!!!!!!
They kill other snails and clams!

Did you just flip him out in the back yard??? I found one snail that I could not ID so I finally caught him and tossed him in the back yard. Thanks for the heads up on the violent invert.

I throw them in the garbage. If I had a Trigger I would feed it to it as Triggers love them... Looking out for fellow reefers is all!!

Karma to you for the warning. Unfortunately, a number of dishonest people are selling predatory whelks as Nassarius snails on Ebay.

THAT ISN'T GOOD AND ANOTHER TIDBIT OF INFO...WHO CAN KEEP TRACK OF SO MUCH INFO, BUT THESE NASSARIUS SNAILS ARE THE ONLY SNAIL ABLE TO BE REEF SAFE WHERE AS OTHER RELATED SNAILS AREN'T.

wow thanks for the update. Actually I think I have one of those key hole limpets. I saw a snail that has a shell just like that and i wanted to remove it as I try to remove any snail I can't identify but this bugger is always where I cannot reach it. The only coral I have had die was my candy cane (which it never was around) and my seamats. The weird thing about my sea mats is the green ones died but the redddish/brown ones lived...I think this death was due to my lighting as this snail and no other was near the seamats.

I had 2 but a hermit killed one and now I am happy the hermit got it. Well it looks like my other hermit will recieve a nice shell to live in real soon.....
