Sounds like a bristle worm and looks like it, although the pictures are small and blurry. Probably not a bad thing. Wrasses, Coral Banded Shrimp, and many other things eat these guys.

Looks like a bristle worm to me. I am pretty certain of it. There are two camps on BWs. Keep 'em and get rid of 'em. I am in the middle. Keep the small ones, and anything over two or three inches, attempt to catch and discard. Eventually, some species can get large enough to take out livestock.

But be careful. They can bite.....or sting.....not sure which. All I know is, it hurts. No hasn't happened to me. I've just read about it.

I agree with everyone that it is a bristle worm.. We have some of these in our tank and they would sting my husband every time he would pull the algae off our LR.. (im to short to reach that low in our tank..lol)

I figure for each one you see, there is 2 or 3 more that's hideing..
I use a turkey baster, sucks them right up.. Works 80 % of the time..
Do you have a good cleanup crew..?
Keeping your tank clean will help.. To much food, etc..
I have been thru this .
And still have a few that hide.. And as they said they help clean a tank, but you don't want them to get big.. And they do sting..

    Good Luck, Larry
