UPDATE on the Bristle worm......It was not a bristle worm, it was a leg of a brittle star that I have in my tank, I haven't seen them since I put them in until last night I turned the light on and it was out and about then went to the same rock where I saw the worm. the coloring on the legs looked just like what the worm in the pic. So I assume he was poking his leg out of the hole in the rock to catch some food.

Per the question of different types of "bristle" worms. Yes, there are a great many and thankfully 99% of them are what I would call valuable members of any clean up crew. If you note a great many of them, thats simply because you are providing what they need in the way of food and shelter, and makes them valuable because if they didn't help clean up, what would?

For photo examples of the various worm species that I have been able to find and document, please check the relevant section of my hitch hiker page.
