The guys from Acan Lighting are proud of the modifications they made to the existing Eco-Lamps A-Series and the we will see the result next month with the new A103 LED lamps. Acan Lighting gets points for marketing, they distributed A-Series to many coral vendors at the MAX show for their display tanks, so there was a lot of exposure. A 2 day show is not much of a test, but the lighting was nice, the corals were open and the low-heat was really impressive. Specs and prices below.

The A103 will have a 75 degree angle lens for better spread and a redesigned controller that will allow for customization of the intensity of both the blue and white LEDs. The LEDs are supposed to be similar to the Cree XP-G.

Looks awesome. I'm glad to see another competitor jump into the LED game. A tad blue for my liking though. Price is still sky high as well; especially considering the lack of 3w diodes.

Are these companies that are now making LED systems having to pay a fee due to the whole patent fiasco??
