    Not to make it sound too stupid, but are you making sure your checking the fresh, filtered water and not the discharge water?

    I'm not sure....but during the summer the RO/DI unit was faster, I guess due to the warm weather. It would take only 1 hour and 10 minutes to make 5 gallons. When the weather was colder it took 2 hours.

    Does that make sense? The warm vs. cool weather? Or is something else going on...lol

    Yeah, it does make sense. Warmer weather means warmer water going in to the system, which means higher GPH through the RO.

    That's why I have 66gal of RODI water already made. ;D When I first started my system I needed like 130gal of it. Boy that took awhile.

    Oh me too! It took 3 days to fill up my 90 gallon. That was a true test of patience lol

    Spectra pure recomends flushing the whole system for several hours before using.

    Yes, there are preservatives in the membrane that need to be flushed. maybe your TDS meter was measuring those.
