I got about 20 hermit crabs yesterday and in the bag there was a real tiny one, 1/4 inch or less. today i noticed one of my bigger hermits that ive had in the tank a while was trying to eat the little one so I was moving the little one to the other side of the tank and dropped him on my acans and one of the heads ate the hermit shell and all. anybody know what will happen? I was thinking it may just dissolve the crab and spit out the shell later, but Im not sure

It might, not sure, I have Dwarf Cerith snails and they fall on the acans and the acans swallow them and spit them out 2 or 3 days later. Don't know if they get a meal or not.

ok thanks. I kinda found it funny that I was trying to save him from a bigger hermit crab, but instead dropped him onto something else that ate him.

The digestive properties probably ate the flesh then will spit the shell out. Poor hermit :( "YAY I'm being saved! Awe crud..."
