so I've had this acan frag for approx. a month now and the first picture is what it looked like on week one. I moved it into my main display after 2 weeks in the frag tank and for the past couple days it now looks like picture number two. The skeleton is slighty poking out, and it's not nearly as colorful. it's getting the same flow as another acan colony right next to it, and it doesn't seem too rough. I just fed it last night and it accepted the food and looked good this morning, but now it's back to looking un healthy again. I'm not sure if maybe it needs to be moved up higher, or maybe even less flow? any suggestions would be awesome.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Lighting and some basic parameter please mainly alk/cal.

They do take a while to show the results of routine consistent feedings.

They also appear different during the course of the day secondary to water exchange within the tissue.

thanks dimp, I'm hoping it goes back to normal. maybe it's just adjusting to the new lights.

and coralline actually no. The frag tank I quarantined it in has an LED fixture as my MD is T5's. I did acclimate the coral when I changed the tanks though. so maybe it's just adjusting to the new lights? and should I feed it more often because it's condition? right now I feed it about twice a week.

krisleo, sounds like your on the right track. Parameters are good, feedings twice a week seems fine, you acclimated to the lighting. May just need some more acclimation time, not sure how deep the tank is but it should be getting plenty of light.

When you see tissue recession that results in being able to see the white skeleton then you have a real issue.

    Good luck.
