    I won an aussie acan on ebay the other day. picked it up today and realized I don't know much about it. does it like to be on the sand like a brain or do they grow onto the rock work? also how much light do they need?

    AFAIK acans are pretty adaptable to light, just start it low so you don't bleach it then put it wherever you want. They encrust over rocks to reproduce so you'll probably want to give them some room to spread on a rock somewhere.

    are you familiar with keeping brains?? pretty much the same type of care. Sand, moderate flow, lower to moderate light.
