    Hey Guys,

    I just bought a Acanthestrea lord. it is a small frag with to polyps. I have done my reasearch but am still looking to find out more about them.
    how to feed them, what to feed them, how fast they grow, how long before the grow new polyps ect...

    With my experience, they grow rather quickly. If you feed them chunks of food, they will grow faster. They require low light and low to moderate flow. Post a pic so we can see it.

    yeah I agree. They like meaty foods. I start mine off with mysis shrimp squirted on them. Then when they start to open up more I will eventually place pieces of krill directly on them. One good thing about acans is that they will share food...meaning you dont have to place food on each and every polyp of the acan.

    +1 on the meaty foods. They usually put out feeder tentacles when the light have been off for awhile.
    You can also squirt a little food on them when the lights are on and they will put out the tentacles in a
    few minutes then feed them.

    You should see new polyps in about a month then when they start growing they will put on new ones
    every 2 or 3 weeks.
