acan more like acan't

OK I am really at a loss. I keep trying and keep failing.. I have a bunch of acan frags. They start off looking amazing, plump and juicy and stay that way then for no reason i can tell they start to shrivel up and die. Takes a few months but can't get them to recover after it starts. I have a bunch of corals in the tank and all do well. My Chalices are growing like weeds Zoas look great and all my frogspawns and torches and bubbles look healthy. I am just not able to keep my acans healthy. My water perams are really good. They are consistent

I test twice a week both no swings since i have been religious about water changes and testing. Lighting i have been using for a year I have LED lighting on a controller. Water temp is 80 all the time.

Here are some pics of how they look when they are happy in the tank and here is how they look now. It started to go down hill so I tried to move it to see if location was the issue.

Custom. I have 2 Cree Lumia 5.2 LEDs on a Storm-X controller

 

Hmmm. Some tanks just dont like certain corals. Not sure what to tell you leds should support em.

Acans gotta be fed twice a week.

 

No they do not. They are photosynthetic. They are fine with just light. Suplimental feeding will speed up growth tho.

 

RedSea Max 250---65 gallon tank. I have tried feeding them and tried not feeding them. Has not mad any difference. Feed my tank reef frenzy frozen food.

 

I agree feed them and see if they improve, it's certainly not going to hurt them. Make sure they are not getting munched on by Asterina or Amphipods. Are the Euphyllias in close enough proximity to sting the Acans at night?

Thanks Corailline... I thought they were far enough away. I think that Asterina could be the issue. I fine them on the corals and pull them off. Not sure how to reduce the number i have of them in the tank other than hand removing them. I have noticed i see them attached on the corals but usually after they start to look bad..
