I have a red acan, bought it 8 months ago w/ 3 heads ,it now has ~13 heads (+lots of babies) and use to open up. It's still multiplying, however it's doesn't seem to open up fully anymore...all other corals r doing OK...I'm not sure if it's too much flow, too much light....any thoughts, could it be chemical related from my other LPS corals?

I wouldn't worry too much, they are pretty hardy. Mine will open and close weekly, don't now why, that's just what they do. If you start to see skeleton or they stay closed for several days, then you may want to look into it more.

If you've doublechecked all of your parameters and haven't changed anything major lately I wouldn't be too concerned. You could maybe run some carbon if you don't normally, and do a slightly larger water change if you want just to be sure.
Are they still puffing up, but aren't extending feeder tentacles? I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to as "opening up".
Do they extend tentacles if you turn off your pumps and put some mysis or food on them? If they do I wouldn't worry too much, maybe spot feed them some food.
