Only 2 corals survived when our heater in our DT went bonkers and fried our tank. One was the lithophylin that is doing amazing and one was an orange and green acan colony that I gave little to no hope of surviving. It was just a complete skeleton with a little tissue left.

About 2 months later I have decided to start a thread to watch its recovery. Unfortunately I do not have the original picture but you can still see the damage from the incident. The new growth is amazing!

Is it still the same color as it originally was?

I have never seen that coloring before. I really like it.

Congrats on the survivor. That is the exact reason, I have switched to a controller.

What doesn't kill it, makes it stronger.

    thanks everyone!

Actually, the color of the coral was an intense orange and bright green at first. Since the incident is it very bleached out and I am not sure what color it will come back when fully recovered. It is in a different tank (the big DT is actually cracked now) so I am not sure how it will color back up. We originally had it in our zoa/softie tank but it was not all that happy. So we moved it back to the SPS tank and it is thriving much better (more food and much better water conditions and flow)

When we first moved it there was probably only 3 polpys that was still visible. Each morning we can still see the skeleton coming through all the polyps but then the tissue fattens up
