So my Acans started losing their bright green color and I wondered what it could be.

Water parameters looked ok, all in range.

Since they were on the sandbed, directly under the light I moved them to a shadow area.

Like many of my other projects, I thought, why not take some pictures... eventually turned it into a timelapse video.

Interesting find - please see marked areas below in the picture and check the same areas in the video link just below.. VERY CURIOUS WHAT THIS COULD BE

    VIDEO LINK - - > (1080p please!)
THIS COULD PROBABLY BE WHEY THEY ARE LOSING COLOR (in case its a pest!)

    ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOMED!

If you could post the link please to the video I will see if I can fix it.

    Lighting type please?
    Age of tank?
Specific values for Ca/Alk/mag...need more information. pH if you do not have a ALK.

From the looks of even the ones with color, they look irritated by somthing. Plus 1 on above. How often are your water changes?

Acans in tank since 2 months, did fine and responded to spot feeding (small sticky tentacles would take in food - now I don't see the tentacles)
    Calcium - 440
    Mag - 1320
pH - 8.2 in the day, 7.9-8 during night
    phosphates - 0

What is your salinity and alkalinity? How do you test for each?

I see a Barnacle at the very top of the formation, harmless.

    Are you target feeding them?

    The top
The other I can not make out.
    It is a large Amphipod?

If you plan to keep using API I would recommend not using their white 5ml lines but use a syringe to measure out 5ml of water.

You will get a more accurate result.

No I do not think the Barnacle is the coral's issue.

It maybe Amphipods, too much light (they take a long while to recover). I would sure start target feeding the coral.
