Im placing a rather large order with saltcritters friday and im getting a few acans from them i heard they do best if spot fed what would you suggest feeding them. Freeze dried mysis was one of the top things i heard to feed them or would it be best to feed brine

i start with cycloopeeze and brine shrimp. I use a turkey baster a couple times a week and feed each polyp with it. once they get bigger I advance to pieces of krill and then whole pieces of krill.

Acans will share their nutrition, unlike some corals, meaning that you do not have to make sure each and every head eats or takes the krill however I do try to hit everyone and seems to grow faster

I typically never directly fed my acans and they stayed healthy and grew fine. However, my water was probably on the nutrient-rich side. I did notice jumps in growth if I did directly feed (every once and a while). They're definitely on the hardy side though. Just make sure you have strong enough lighting and you should be good to go :)

I dont think Acans like my aquarium for some reason, everything seems to do really good and my Acans did for awhile but have kind of gonedownhill and after months still dont show much improvment
