I get mine from the ReefEmpire auctions on ebay, normally end up being 30-40 dollars for a few inch piece. They grow as fast or slow as you let them, Depending on your lighting water condition, and how often you feed them. Its all in the variables.

I had a single polyp that stayed that way for quite a few months... I recently noticed that at least 6 heads are starting to sprout up at once! They definately respond well to target feeding, however don't seem to need it if your tank is healthy.

I bought some acans (6 frags) last weekend from Reef Empire. They got here on Tuesday. I'm extremely satisfied with their product. I like LiveAquaria too as a general rule, but for acans, where I'd personally go for variety over a gigantic colony, I like doing something like Reef Empire.

The frag that has accepted the most food, which had only 1 full head and a couple halves, has already sprouted 2 new heads that I can see, and repaired 3 of the halves into whole heads. There may be more, as I haven't looked on the back side of it. I feed the corals every other day.
