I have been told that I should FW dip a new clam for 15-30 minutes prior to placing it in the DT. My question is how do I acclimate it after the dip? Do I slowly raise the salinity from the fresh water? Or should I get it out of the FW as soon as the dip time is over?

I dont really know much about clams, but i would have thought that dipping it for that long would kill it.
