I thank my clownfish agrees with you

When I first put them in, the clown swam up to them, then he darted into a cave.

I've always done the rapid transformation technique. Except, it was straight from fresh to saltwater. They are pretty resilient.
In this case, though, I can see the reasoning behind wanting to ease them in.

    Just a little update.
    They seem to have adjusted.
They get along with my clownfish.

Should I start feeding them saltwater fish food?

so how big are the fry? can they be eaten by some of the fish in your tank...

Mine had fry every 4 weeks, got to be a pain, I had two females so I was returning between 60 and 100 fry to the LFS every month. Too bad I never got credit for it. For the fry I just crushed up flake food real fine in a ziplock bag and fed them that. Best of luck with them.

When we first got the lionfish i was just throwing them in the tank and they did fine for the first 30sec before the lionfish came up for attack. So i tried an experiment as he was fish food anyways, i threw one in the reef tank to see if they could do an instant swap. He lived in the tank for 6 days before i ran out of the fresh mollies for food.

Might have to look into making a hatchery for some mollies.

    I just woke up.:dizzy2:
When I went to feed my fish, not only are the mollies doing good, I saw 6 or 7 baby mollies. The fry are hard to measure in the tank, but they are a little under ¼’’.I can already see spots on them.

that is really cool, I've heard of this being done with mollies. I wonder what other fish could make it.

I think guppies can live in saltwater.
Probably most brackish water fish can live in saltwater
