    wow I thought this acclimation process was a careful procedure.... trying not to kill the fish etc. I usually float for 10-20 mins then drip acclimate till the sg is close.
    my lfs does the same 1.019... mine 1.024-1.025. I noticed when i did the float and cup method i lost fish(within in a day or two). When I drip its all good!

    Uhm, i usually do that too, with just about any fish, but don't ever try it with a tang. you'll get razored. A yellow tang razored me once when i tried that.
