Has anybody used these pads before? They made pads for phosphate removal, ammonia, with carbon, etc. I've used them a few times, but was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. If so, how long are they supposed to be good for, and how did you use them?

    Thanks in advance,

    Josh

I have not used those pads before I run carbon and usually run the poly pad that absorbes just about everything. They change color also to let you know what they are absorbing.the incomparable poy filter its called.

Thanks for the replies. I use a magnum 350 for my chemical filtration (I clean it every week). Due to its small media holder size, I have to pick and choose my media carefully. I use half carbon, half chemi-pure and use the phosphate pad wrapped around the magnum sleeve. I'm not sure if those pads help or not. My phosphates always read 0, but I still have a small hair algae issue. Oh well, I guess next time I change the media I will forgo the phosphate pad...
