My clam is not doing to hot so i decided to call a bunch of fish stores. I found that MT. shadow marine will trade me my 6 in. deresa clam for 1 achilles tang and a clown and an anemone of my choice or a couple flame scallops. Would an achilles tang do ok in a 53 gallon tank?

No, they are very difficult to keep in ideal conditions, and your tank is way too small.

Depending on the size of the fish and if the tanks a 4' Tank. The achilles may be ok for a short period of time IE few months to half a year. Mine came to me at 3 1/2 Inches and well around 5 inches now. and Ive had him for 6 Months, They are fast growers and very very Strong swimmers. More then likely is a disaster to happen, Plus you already have a tang in there I thought I saw? Zebrasoma (sailfins) and acanthasurus dont get along to well IME.
