Trying to get it to wait to turn on halides after power failure.

    This is what I have.

If Power 025 Then HL3 On

I killed power and turned back on, but it immediately turns it back on. What am I doing wrong?

Is this for the Reef Angel controller?
what does the "025" represents there?

For what I see, if HL3 are your halides, you're instructing the controller to turn the halides on, once the condition "025" is met. I don't see any delay programmed there.
I don't have a reef angel, but I had some minor experience with this type of programming at school, back in the day of basic.

This is for a AquaController III.

The 025 should be 25 minutes of delay from Power fail. (I think)

Unfortunately, the instruction manual does not even come close to covering all the options in this unit.

But there is absolutely no delay until turning the light on?
    try military time "0025"

Something there isn't right... I'm thinking more of a syntax error.
IF Power off THEN 025 HL3 on

Basically, unless the "power" section of your code line means already "power off" and not any other possibility like "Power on", then I don't know what else.

Sorry if i can't help more. Maybe I need to check the manual. Can you point me to an online manual for it?

That did it. Apparently, the ON/OFF statement is the state it will return in for the delay time.

Sooo.. IF Power failed <025 minutes ago THEN HL3 is OFF

    Stupid syntax

if there's a way to make the controller pint out to your PC a list of commands, that would be great. The manual is very limited on list of commands.

Not that I know of. Then again, I have only had it out of the box about 4 hours.

join the lounge chat room and we can go through what you have. Maybe they have forums and things make more sense after a look.
