Ok, my LFS listen to me and started getting in stuff I want, so I want to support them. They have in a baseball sized blue acro colony and it has a crab!!!!!
The problem is i don't want to place it in my system without a good dipping, but I don't want to kill the crab. HOW DO I SAFELY REMOVER THE CRAB?? I want to remove him, dip the colony, rinse twice reintroduce the guy, then place in my DT.
    What do you guys think?

Maybe you could gently nudge him out with something?

Chase him off with a toothpick, into a bit of tank/bag water.

be careful, my lfs had an acro crab, tried to remove it from the acro for me and accidentally broke his shell... he didn't make it... I felt bad for trying to remove him from his acro. I guess their shells aren't so tough... or maybe this one had recently molted... that said, I wouldn't force him out, but maybe the distilled water trick will work....

They are very hard to remove with out either damaging the acro or the crab. I would be careful squirting fresh water into the acro. If you try to nudge him just be mindful that they are fast. They also like to move and wedge themselves in between the branches.

Well the toothpick plan worked great! Got him out after about 5 minutes of ring around the acro and dipped my coral. I rinsed the colony 3 times to make sure all the CoralRX was out of the ranches and coaxed him back into the colony, I'll start a new thread with pics of the acro at lights on. Thanks for all the tips everyone!!!!!!!
