I am trying to figure out if the acro crabs that came on my three maricultured acros are "reef safe" or not. We all know some are more prone to be problematic than others. I can't take a good photo of them right now, but I can describe them to you.

    Both look exactly the same:

    Fuzzy brown fur all over
    Black flaws (normaly means bad)
Looks as though the claws are sharp and come to a white tip at the end
    White eyes
One has a greenish base color and the other has a brown almost black base color

I believe I don't want these, but It cant hurt to ask. I'll just throw them in the sump for now.

If they have fuzzy or furry legs I would sump them. They are probably feeding of the polyps on your acros.

Acro crabs aren't fuzzy! Most likely you have Xanthid crabs-not good! Remove them quickly. Sump em or dump em. I'd be checking with whom ever you bought the acros from too and let em know.

What are the chances of it being an Anemone Crab?

look up "cymo andreossyi" and see if this is your new friend. If it is, there are mixed opinions on this little guy.
