Woke up this morning to my Acro Formosa laying on top of my Acan. I quickly picked it up and inspected it only to find 2 of the longer branch's tissue was sloughing off. Should I clip these two branches off and dip the coral in RX or should I frag the whole colony?;)

IMO I would clip remove the damage as best is possible, and leave intact what you can. Then dip, and hope for the best.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
When I have this happen I let the coral recover for a few days, before I do any immediate fragging. Unless RTN is setting it in, I find it better to let the acropora recover first and frag later.

Totally agree with Corailline on this one. Give the coral a chance to recover if RTN is not setting in.

Gee, how helpful.... He posted this for some advice on making the choice.

I agree with coralline as well.

Remember to also look into how the acro fell. If you didn't use some sort of putty or glue to stick it where it was, you might want to consider using some to prevent it from happening again.

Hope all goes well, let us know how things do.

I'm sorry, but why post? If your meaning to bump for him then just put "bump." I don't mean to be mean, just curious.

I agree let nature do it's thing, then if everything starts to go south make a move.
    Hope all goes well.

It is my understanding from a past post that he is in the 10-14 age range, so that is a part of it :p

I agree unless its RTN I would let it be. Most likely the damage is done and it is starting to recover. I have had this happen to multiple sps corals and its normally just a little damage and it will heal back up eventually. Just make sure it doesn't get algae growing on the dead spot.
