I have a green little acro that is starting to near or is just about on top of my monti. Is this okay, will they work themselves around each other....the branch is growing just above the monti's plate...pics are attached. Thanks

The acro will prob kill the monti where they come together.

From what Ive experienced you can have monti caps and monti digitata touch and they will grow around each other. But with this, I don't think that will be the case. Unfortunately it's time to frag one of them.

The acro will most likely win the battle where they touch but the monti will most likely grow around and over the acro and eventual deprive it of light. Frag or move one of the corals.

+1 Ive seen in a few cases where montis have growth together and created a different morph. Basically a combination of the two. But the acro would probably slime up repeatedly and kill off the monti until it grows around and above the monticap.

would you frag the acro branch off or would you frag the monti, and if you suggest the monti what is my best method to do it, i really don't think i have another spot to move the acro to

Frag that cap! It's quite large, and caps grow so fast anyway.

You'll probably have to regularly frag the cap away from the acro.
