If that's what it's called... I'm looking to make an acrylic wall (25 3/4 tall x "?" wide) bent in a half circle(tall) and have long ovals cut out of the top "?" inch/es being a/an "?" inch/es long and spaced "?" apart. I will then silicone this to my tank, where the standpipe with Hofer Gurgle Buster will be installed on top. Anyone wanna filll in the question marks? I suck at the math parts..............

Is this too complicated? I need instructions..... Karma for help........

did I mention I give good karma ;D

well, I just had a thought. I only slept 2 hours tonight, thinking about this. Would it be better to have 2 overflows(to sump) and 1 return(to tank). Maybe... the ones going to sump would be 1" and then back to the tank would be 3/4"? Think I'd get better flow out of it?

I've got a real good idea of how I'm doing the overflows and return. Just need to figure out which size would be better. Since I have the tank tore down, I figured I'd go ahead and do it right.

I have two overflows in my tank, it works well and also allows me to beef up the circulation rates if I need to. You cannot even hear the overflow as my turnover is around 1500lph, but it can handle a lot more. My overflow pipes are 32mm (1 1/4") and my return pipe is 24mm (1").
I created an overflow shelf which you can see at the top of the image, behind that is my two overflow pipes.

I'm really happy with it and it allows me to have more 'floor space' and it is nice and easy to clean :)
